30 The Firearms Instructor Issue 50 SC EN ARIO 3: WEAPON IS out of THE HOLSTER, ASSAILANT grasps wrist/lower forearm Using opposite counter forces, pull the weapon to the core or center of your body as you strike against the grab using a balled fist or open hand attacking the assailant’s radial nerve. SC EN ARIO 4 : WEAPON IS out of THE HOLSTER, ASSAILANT grasps wrist/lower forearm Using the same concept of counter forces (Scenario 3), slide your arm between the assailant’s arm torquing your shoulder/body to your strong side with your palm pressing downward and your elbow area going forward. SC EN ARIO 5: WEAPON IS out of THE HOLSTER, ASSAILANT grabs weapon Using counter forces and a nerve release, apply a nerve attack on the assailant’s grasp utilizing your weak hand. Ratchet the weapon forward and upwards – this will work on either of the assailant’s hands. Nerve release place- ment is 2 inches above the forefinger in the “web” of the thumb and forefinger. This will cause brief paralysis.
